Let Your Kids Drop Out! Part 1

You hear it all the time, "The school system is a failure!" or some similar sentiment. Well, I'm not sure that's true. Sure, America spends more money on education then any other country. That may or may not be true. I'm not gonna bother looking it up, but let's pretend it is true. Researching articles would add a lot of work to this article, and you wouldn't remember the data anyway...neither would I.

Yet every year the kids get dumber and dumber. Again, I'm not going to look that up.

Some would say that this is evidence of the failure of public education, but they would be wrong. You see, the people that pull the strings, they're not dumb...evil maybe, but not dumb. And when people, who are not dumb, seem to fail over and over, and do not change course, but drive on all the harder...it should make you wonder.

He's frustrated because he knows he's not getting a real education.

It makes me wonder. I wonder things like: What if their stated goal isn't their real goal? What if educating children isn't the point of all of it? What if there is another purpose?

I've read about all of this before. I could go back find all my old sources and cite them, but I think you are catching on to how I do things.

For those of you who don't know, we didn't always have a public education system, Children were taught at home or went to a Little House on the Prairie type schoolhouse. And then some controlling douche bags decided that everybody needed the same type of education...but not really. When they chose the type of system that America should have, they chose the Prussian System.

The Prussian  System was very elitist. The children of the elite, got a liberal education. I don't have time to get into what comprises a "liberal education" just know that going back at least to Jefferson, a liberal education was considered the best. In fact, Jefferson stated that any kid who showed that he might possibly become a genius should be allowed to pursue such an education regardless of their background.

Under the Pussian System only the children of the elite got this superior education.  The rest of the children got an education that emphasized “harmony, obedience, freedom from stressful thinking and how to follow orders.” And so it would be with our education system. Woodrow Wilson said:

"We want one class of persons to have a liberal education and we
want another class of persons, a very much larger class of
necessity, to forgo the privileges of a liberal education."

Now, again, that sounds kind of elitist.

"I'm about to graduate and still can't do fractions."

You see, the public education system was never designed to educate your children. The children of the elites would get a real education. And your children would be thrown into an education system designed to teach them "how to follow orders.” The public education system isn't a failure, it was simply designed to indoctrinate children.

Okay, I'm running a little long. I don't know why, but I thought that this would be one nice short post. But it's looking like it will stretch into at least two. So check back for the upcoming second post in this series.
